Privacy Policy

1. What we collect and why

Agent and agency accounts: name, email, phone, WhatsApp and agency name, to create and verify the account, publish listings and show contact details on listings.

Enquiries: name, email, phone (optional) and message, which we send to the listing's agent or, from the contact page, to our team, and keep so they can read and reply to them.

Property alerts: your email and search criteria, to send you new listings. We only send them after you confirm your email, and every message has an unsubscribe link.

Listing photos: we store photos after removing their metadata, including GPS location.

Technical data: your IP address, kept briefly to limit abuse (for example, password guessing).

Usage statistics: we count, only as monthly totals and without identifying anyone, visits to the site, searches made and the number of times each listing was viewed. We use no cookies and store no IP addresses for this, and our own team's visits are not counted.

2. Cookies

We only use cookies the site needs to work: a session cookie when you sign in, and a cookie holding your favourites, kept only in your browser. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

3. Who we share it with

Agents' contact details are public on their listings. Enquiries are sent only to the listing's agent.

We use service providers that process data on our behalf: site and database hosting, email delivery (Resend), photo storage (Cloudflare) and maps (MapTiler and OpenStreetMap, which receive your IP address when a map is shown). Some of these providers are outside Angola; we only use them with adequate data-protection safeguards.

We may also disclose data to the authorities where the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep account data for as long as the account exists. Enquiries and alerts are kept until you delete or cancel them, or ask us to delete them. Technical data used against abuse is deleted within hours.

5. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your data, and object to its processing. To do so, use the contact page. You may also complain to the Data Protection Agency (Agência de Protecção de Dados, APD).

6. Security

Passwords are stored hashed (never in plain text), connections to the site are encrypted and access to data is limited to those who need it.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with the date of the update.
